When might DSG servicing be required?+
It depends on the transmission fitted and the manufacturer schedule for your car. Wet-clutch DQ250, DQ381 and DQ500 units have a fluid and filter service requirement, and dry-clutch DQ200 units are treated differently. Send your VIN and we will confirm what yours needs, along with any symptoms such as judder, delayed engagement or harsh low-speed shifts.
When might Haldex servicing be relevant?+
On 4MOTION models where a Haldex coupling is fitted, such as Golf R and Tiguan. The coupling oil and filter affect how drive is delivered to the rear axle, so we confirm the generation fitted and the service history before recommending the work.
Does every Volkswagen follow the same service schedule?+
No. The schedule depends on model, engine, build year, market and whether the car is on a fixed or flexible service regime, and additional items such as brake fluid, DSG, Haldex and timing components fall due at different points. We confirm the correct schedule against your VIN.
Can Apex diagnose warning lights and drivability concerns?+
Yes. We read every module with manufacturer-level VAG software including ODIS, log live data under the conditions the fault appears in, and test components individually before quoting a repair.
What does the customer receive after servicing?+
Relevant photo or video findings, a completed service and inspection sheet, a detailed itemised invoice and written recommendations. Where applicable the physical service book is stamped. We do not write to manufacturer-controlled service-history systems.
Will servicing my Volkswagen at Apex affect my new-car warranty?+
No. Australian Consumer Law allows you to have your VW serviced at any qualified workshop using correct-specification parts and manufacturer procedures without affecting your statutory warranty. We service to the factory schedule and document the work fully.
Do you use genuine VW parts?+
Genuine VW parts are available on request. As standard we fit reputable OE-quality or OEM-equivalent parts that meet the required specification for your engine and build.
