Not every Audi that comes to Apex is an S or RS model. A large part of our work is looking after everyday Audi vehicles that owners rely on for commuting and family use. Whether your A3 needs its scheduled service, your Q5 has developed a coolant leak, your A4 has a warning light or your Q7 is due for preventative maintenance, the same specialist diagnostic and inspection process applies.

Servicing is carried out to the manufacturer schedule for your exact model, engine and build date — engine oil and filter to the correct Audi-approved specification for your VIN, filtration, brake fluid when due, DSG or S tronic servicing where the schedule calls for it, and Haldex or quattro driveline maintenance where fitted.

Diagnostics are ODIS-supported: fault finding, live data, adaptations and diagnostic procedures across every module, so a warning light is diagnosed with evidence rather than guessed at. Anything we find is photographed on the hoist, explained in plain English, and quoted in writing before it is touched.

The workshop is at Unit 4/6 Woodbine Court, Wantirna South VIC 3152 — about 22 minutes from Clarinda (3169) depending on traffic. Clarinda sits alongside Clayton South, Oakleigh South, Heatherton in the 3169 catchment, and owners from all of them use the workshop.

Most Clarinda owners book a day ahead, drop the car in the morning and arrange their own transport onward; there is a customer area if you would rather wait. Pickup and drop-off is available by prior arrangement, subject to location and availability — we do not offer loan cars.

Routine servicing is usually same-day. Larger work — transmission servicing, timing-system repairs, cooling repairs, intake cleaning or turbo work — is quoted with a realistic in-and-out timeline before we start, so you can plan around it.

Every Audi service includes a proper multi-point inspection — not a tickbox sheet. These are the platform-specific items we look at as a matter of course, photographed on the hoist and quoted only if action is genuinely needed:

• Timing-system condition

  Timing-system requirements vary by engine family and build date. We assess correlation values, stored faults and start-up behaviour rather than replacing on a generic interval.

• Cooling system & water pump

  Water-pump, thermostat and coolant housings are inspected for leakage and deterioration during servicing, and quoted with photos if action is needed.

• Oil & coolant leaks

  Chain and rocker cover gaskets, sump seals, oil coolers and coolant flanges checked on the hoist while the car is up for service.

• Intake-valve deposits

  Carbon cleaning may be recommended where symptoms, inspection or diagnostic findings indicate intake-valve deposits — borescoped first, never sold on kilometres alone.

• DSG / S tronic condition

  DSG and S tronic service requirements depend on transmission type and the manufacturer schedule. We confirm what your car needs from the VIN, and check adaptation and clutch data in live diagnostics.

• Suspension, brakes & bushes

  Control arms, bushes, ball joints, wheel bearings and brake condition measured and photographed, with wear reported honestly.

Performance calibration and supporting hardware are available on selected Audi platforms. Suitability depends on ECU/TCU type, existing modifications, fuel and intended use, and we assess the car's mechanical health before anything is written to it.

Where a calibration is appropriate, it is datalogged before the car leaves and the original file is backed up. Servicing, diagnostics and repairs remain the core of what we do — performance work sits alongside it, not in front of it.

Drop the car in the morning, or book it a few days ahead. On arrival we do a full ODIS scan first — every module, stored and pending faults — before any spanner touches the car. If we find anything beyond the original job, we photograph it, quote it in writing, and only proceed with your written approval.

You leave with a stamped log book (where applicable), a completed service and inspection sheet, and a plain-English summary of what we did and what to expect at the next interval.
