Warranty stays intact
Under Australian Consumer Law, servicing at an independent specialist to manufacturer spec does not void your new-car warranty. We know the law and follow it.
- 03
Dealer-level diagnostics
ISTA, ODIS, Xentry, PIWIS — real dealer software, not a generic scanner. Service resets done properly, hidden fault codes seen, updates applied where needed.

Independent, not dealer
The same dealer-level tools and factory-spec parts, with better attention and a written quote before anything starts.
- 05
OEM parts on request
Say the word and we fit genuine BMW/Audi/Mercedes/Porsche/VW parts. As standard we fit factory-approved brands (Bosch, Mahle, NGK) that match spec exactly.

Quoted in writing before you drop it off
Line-itemised in writing against your VIN and service interval. Nothing is added without your approval — no calls halfway through the day asking to approve extras you didn't authorise.
Common questions,
straight answers.
Will an independent log book service void my new car warranty?+
No. Under Australian Consumer Law (and the ACCC's public guidance) you are free to service your car at any qualified independent workshop, provided the correct parts and procedures are used and the log book is stamped. Your statutory warranty is protected. Manufacturer 'goodwill' warranty extensions are a separate matter — some are contingent on dealer servicing, so check the specific terms if that applies to you.
How does Apex compare to the dealer on a log book service?+
Same manufacturer schedule, same dealer-level diagnostics and OEM-grade parts, carried out by an independent specialist workshop. Send your rego or VIN and we'll send a written, line-itemised quote for your exact interval.
Do you stamp the physical log book?+
Yes — stamped and dated. As an independent workshop we cannot update manufacturer-controlled digital service-history portals, so you also receive a completed service and inspection sheet, photo and video inspection evidence, and a detailed itemised invoice.
What if my car needs more than what's in the log book?+
You approve extras in writing before we do them. We send photos of what we found (worn pads, seeping seals, cracked bushes) and a line-itemised quote. You decide what happens next.
How far ahead do I need to book?+
Usually within the week. Occasionally we can fit you in same-week for smaller services. Compare that to 3-6 week dealer waits and the maths is obvious.
Where are you located?+
Apex Performance Tuning is in Wantirna South, South East Melbourne. Easy access from Knox, Ringwood, Glen Waverley, Box Hill, Doncaster and the eastern suburbs. Call 0483 939 216 to book.
Ready for a proper quote?
Send your registration or VIN, current kilometres and what the car needs. We come back with the scope in writing — usually within the business day — and nothing extra is carried out without your approval.
