The 7-speed DQ381 (8V) and DQ500 in higher-output variants need fluid on interval. Every RS3 through here gets a DSG service inspection.

What's the interval for a DSG service on an RS3?+
Audi says 60,000 km for the DQ381/DQ500 fluid. We recommend closer to 40,000–50,000 km on a tuned car — the mechatronic runs hotter and the fluid degrades faster. Every RS3 service includes a check of the DSG condition and a recommendation.
How much does an RS3 service cost in Melbourne?+
Depends on interval and DSG inclusion. Basic oil services on the 8V/8Y is the lightest interval; Inspection services with DSG oil, brake fluid and plugs cover considerably more. Send us the rego and we'll send a written, line-itemised quote.
Can you tune my 8V DAZA?+
Yes — this is a core platform for us. Stage 1 on 98 or E-blend, Stage 2 with downpipe and intake, or a full custom flash with hardware. Realistic Stage 1 gains are 420–470 wkW; Stage 2 pushes into the mid-500s with the right supporting mods. Talk to us about your goals.
My RS3 has been dealer-serviced — can I still switch to Apex?+
Yes. As long as we service to VW/Audi specification (correct oil, correct intervals, book stamped) your statutory warranty under Australian Consumer Law is preserved. Bring the book and the last invoice and we'll pick up from there.
Do you fit rod bolts as preventative maintenance?+
On highly tuned DAZAs (Stage 2+ or serious builds), yes — proactively. On stock or Stage 1 cars we don't recommend it as blanket maintenance. We'll give you an honest read after inspection.
